OTTAWA, Canada – Donald Cerrone is known for his exciting fight style and unwillingness to alter his life outside the cage. His spirit for adventure has taken him around the world, and he said he wouldn't mind if he gets to keep on traveling.
Cerrone's (29-7 MMA, 16-4 UFC) travels have brought him to "The Great White North" to face off with Patrick Cote (23-9 MMA, 10-9 UFC) in the welterweight co-headliner of Saturday's FOX Sports 1-televised main card at The Garden at TD Place in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The prelims air on FOX Sports 2 and UFC Fight Pass.
His last trip to Canada ran into a few snags while crossing the border. That, he told MMAjunkie at today's open workouts, was not an issue this time around.
"It was a lot smoother this trip," Cerrone said. "The UFC really worked to rehabilitate my record. I just had some blemishes on there I didn't disclose last time trying to get into Vancouver. We worked with the legal team and it was a lot smoother process this time."

That may suggest a desire to keep the rest of his fights in North America. But that isn't the case. Instead, Cerrone said he's up for fights in any locale he determines appropriately suitable to his crazy lifestyle.
"Truthfully, I'll drive anywhere," Cerrone said. "But I like Las Vegas because everything is open 24 hours. The first thing you want to do when you're done fighting is get something to eat. So, we get out of here at 1:30, there's probably not much open. That's the good thing with Vegas, you can go eat and hang out. I wouldn't mind fighting somewhere cooler. I've fought in Africa, Morocco and it was a lot of fun and crazy. A crazy destination would be fun. I'd go back to Japan; I love Japan. Who knows?"
